https://www.azurecare.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Outstanding-Webstite-Blog-3.png We are delighted to share that Azure Care has been rated Outstanding by the CQC (Care Quality Commission). This places us among the leading home care providers nationally. It also makes us the only provider in Medway to currently hold an overall Outstanding rating.
Our inspection rated us Outstanding in two areas that matter most to the people we support. These were Effective and Caring. The CQC described our service as “exceptional” in how it delivers care that is consistently better than expected and based on the best available evidence. They highlighted that people’s feedback described the service as “exceptional and distinctive.”
The report is full of heartfelt feedback from people and families. Their words capture the warmth, consistency, and professionalism our team aims to deliver every day.
People told inspectors that staff “always come at the same time and know exactly what I need,” and that carers are “very friendly and helpful to my needs.” One person shared that staff were “quite discrete” when providing personal care.
Relatives described a “loving environment” created during end of life care, and one family wrote that Azure Care made their loved one’s last chapter at home “so rich and rewarding.”
Another person described Azure Care as “a silver lining” and said they felt “truly blessed” to have joined the service. They praised the “professionalism and compassion” of the team.
Inspectors found that people received “outstanding, person centred care that was tailored to their individual preferences, routines, and cultural values,” delivered with “compassion, attentiveness, and professionalism.”
They also highlighted examples of how our team takes initiative to protect people’s safety and wellbeing. For example, one carer’s prompt action in contacting emergency services after noticing a wound “likely prevented sepsis,” according to the family’s feedback.
The inspection also noted measurable outcomes through proactive care. One person’s fluid intake “nearly doubled over three months” after we introduced targeted lunch visits, which helped stabilise their weight and improve their overall health.
The CQC recognised our commitment to enabling people to remain independent and in control. People told inspectors, “They used to wash me in the morning till I was ready to do it myself. I take my time,” showing how care was adapted to support increasing independence.
Inspectors reported that people were treated as individuals with care that respected routines, beliefs, and identities. One example they highlighted was a person whose spiritual practice required a 6.00 a.m. visit. This request was respected, and carers were matched based on cultural understanding.
Inspectors noted exceptional coordination across our teams and external professionals. They shared feedback from a person who said the team “came to hospital to discuss, and then back at home with proposals,” describing care that felt reassuring and well planned.
Staff were praised for adapting communication for people who are non verbal through gesture recognition, picture books, and emotional cues, enabling individuals to stay involved in daily decisions.
The CQC cited our strong culture of learning and innovation, including our development of an AI based application to analyse care data in real time and identify emerging risks. This was highlighted as an example of forward thinking practice improving continuity and safety.
Azure Care’s commitment to continuous improvement was also reflected in national recognition. The report notes our status as finalists in multiple categories at the National Care Awards and the Great British Care Awards – a fact that we are extremely proud of and contributed to Azure Care rated Outstanding by the CQC.
Our Outstanding rating reflects the dedication and professionalism of our entire team. Staff were described as “always available,” “very caring,” and “supportive with childcare and personal needs.” Another staff member reflected that dementia training “changed my way of thinking and the way I support people living with dementia.”
This recognition reinforces what we already know. Outstanding care comes from outstanding people.
We are proud of Azure Care rated Outstanding by the CQC and deeply grateful to the people, families, and partners who trust us to support them. Your feedback guides our work every day.
We will continue building on this foundation so that our care remains thoughtful, safe, compassionate, and personal to each individual we support.
