It’s completely normal to wonder how it will work, who will be coming to see you, and whether they will understand the way you like things done. At Azure Care, we know those first few days matter. They are the start of something new, and our job is to make that start feel easy, comfortable, and well supported.
When your care begins, your Field Care Supervisor (FCS) will come along for the very first visit. Their role is to make sure everything that was discussed in your assessment has been written correctly in your care plan and that it all feels right for you.
Together, you will walk through your usual routine and check that it has been captured properly. This is your chance to show how you like things done and to mention any small details that make a difference to your day. Whether it is which mug you like for your morning tea or how you prefer your bed made, we will make sure it is noted.
Your FCS will then introduce your care team in person and stay with them during their first few visits. They will show the carers your preferred routine and where things are kept, so you do not need to keep explaining. It is all about helping everyone settle in quickly and comfortably.
Once care has started, someone from our office will give you a quick call to see how things are going. We will ask what you are happy with and if there is anything you would like done differently. We want you to feel heard and supported right from the beginning.
Within the first six weeks, your Field Care Supervisor will visit again to review how everything is going. This is a friendly chat about what is working well and whether anything needs adjusting. Maybe you would like a slightly different visit time or a bit more help with something new. Whatever it is, we will listen and make changes to suit you.
The first week is only the beginning. As your care settles in, our team will keep checking, refining, and making sure every part of your support fits your needs. Your comfort, safety, and independence are always at the centre of what we do.
